About the Alliance

The Economic Development Alliance of Southern Ohio was established as a nonprofit 501c3 corporation in 2005. Operations began in earnest in July 2006 with the hiring of the first CEO.
The city of Chillicothe, Ross County Board of Commissioners, Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce and the Ross County Community Improvement Corporation form the nucleus of the Alliance. Private investors comprise the remaining portion.
Policy and planning oversight of Alliance operations is the responsibility of a 10-member Board of Directors, representing both the public and private investor interests.
